I bought some super cute dead stock eighties skates. I'm usually an inline skater, so I feel like I'm relearning to skate, but they were too awesome to pass up! They're really bright and colorful with rainbows on the side... I'll have to clean up and color this sketch for full effect :)

Skinny Cat Sculpt

This is an oldie that sat half done on my desk for over a year, but I finally pulled it down and finished it. It was based on a sketch I posted long, long ago. So skinny!

p.s. I shaved off his eyebrows. He was already weird enough ;)

I did this logo a for a My Little Pony collectors convention... haha, no, I didn't go ;) ...but I might've if it had been closer to home! hehehe. Her name is 'Tooley Fog', and that swirly thing on her butt is supposed to represent fog. This post does not cater to all the guys that read this blog... sorry! ;) I'll have to draw some Transformers or something to make up for it.

Nerd-Fest 2007

Comic-Con 2007 is just a few weeks away, so here's a glamorous drawing to celebrate. I actually drew a whole gaggle of various Comic-Con enthusiasts, so more may appear on this post soon. Ohhh, how I look forward to spending loads of time shoulder to shoulder with smelly, sweaty, fart-y nerds! (with emphasis on the fart-y). ;) ewww...

Work Field Trip

No art in this post... sorry!
One of the local 7-11 stores here in Burbank turned into a Kwik-E-Mart to promote the upcoming movie, so a bunch of my coworkers and I took a trip over there at lunchtime today. The place was packed with folks buying Squishees, Buzz cola, and all sorts of Springfield paraphernalia.
It's a Simpsons-nerd paradise! ;) Definitely check it out if you're in the area. :)

technical stuff

Thanks you guys for the comments in the last post :) I had a tiny bit of downtime this weekend to work on my own stuff, so I figured I'd make a new post... even though this is pretty rough and in need of tweaking. I'd like to do a sculpt of this guy, so I've attempted a little turn for a guide. I'll see if it's accurate once I start modeling in clay ;)

Ok, I keep getting prodded to update... so here goes. It's been work work work lately, but I try to take little doodle breaks while I'm making progress on my scenes. The weirdness above is a little bit of that :)

Well, I suppose I should be posting something more festive, turkey-like and less narcissistic... but well, I guess I have a few days to try and make up for it ;) Work has been intense and I haven't had much time for internetting, but I wanted to freshen the blog and thank you guys for all the nice comments. I will catch up with commenting and new blog investigating over the holiday!
